The accent wall of stacked crates creates a lot of visual interest behind this sofa, chairs and coffee table set. They layered blue and neutral patterned rugs, topped with a wire coffee table in the center and mixed a smaller leather sofa with a large neutral sofa and blue accent chairs. This was set up at a Gather Venues (Monroe location) open house last Fall.
This lovely French antique look was at Art of the Gala. It provides the perfect larger conversation setting for table topic discussions in the afternoon. Square ottomans for additional seating allows more people to participate in the conversation without walling off the area. And the neutral colors of the furniture allow the stylist to choose bright turquoise pillows that match the event’s color theme.
These two vignettes showcase furniture already available on site at Gather Venues North Lamar. They are included in the rental of the large event room. They create warm, inviting nooks for smaller groups to chat, slightly apart from the rest of the high-ceiling, more utilitarian feeling space.
Make It Have Meaning
Finally, consider adding some items of interest that have a really great story behind them. These chairs were used at the Mass Challenge event at the JW Marriott downtown Austin. They came from an antiques collector. They are from the filming of a popular TV series. This particular partner of ours has a huge assortment of vintage movie props.
