Fencing is something you hire, so it belongs in your budget and your rental order from the start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Service stops early.<\/strong> All sales and service of alcohol must cease thirty minutes before the event ends, so the run sheet needs a last-call built into it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Insurance is required<\/strong>, combining general liability with liquor liability cover and naming Metro Parks. The practical consequence matches the drinks position: work backwards from the Board&#8217;s meeting calendar, because it sets your real deadline.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"alcohol-beyond-the-park-rules\">Alcohol Beyond the Park Rules<\/h2>\n<p>Tennessee runs more than one route at state level, and which applies depends on who is running the event.<\/p>\n<p>The nonprofit route is a special-occasion license available to a bona fide charitable, nonprofit, or political organization selling at <strong>a fundraising event it produces<\/strong>. The state is explicit that events produced by other entities do not qualify, even where the proceeds are later donated to a charity. So a commercial event cannot borrow a charity&#8217;s eligibility by promising it the takings.<\/p>\n<p>The for-profit route is a <strong>festival license that allows a for-profit business or a third-party contractor it engages to sell for on-premises consumption at a festival lasting<\/strong> up to about a week.<\/p>\n<p>Neither route is written for a private individual.
